Predeceased by his mother Kathleen, father Arthur, beloved brother Joe, daughter-in-law Teresa, brother-in-law Joe Ryan.

Sadly, missed by his adoring wife Caroline, daughters Catherina and Aoife, son-in-law Philip, his treasured grandchildren Brandon, Eimhin, Keelin and Fionn, sisters Lily and Rita, brother-in-law Gerry, sister-in-law Angela, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Monday (7th April) from 3.00pm to 5.00pm with vigil prayers and rosary at 4.30pm.

John’s funeral cortege will walk from Ballytruckle Green at 11:15am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, The Folly at 11:30am on Tuesday (8th April) for Requiem Mass followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner.

House private at all times please.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Southeast Palliative Care.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the incredible staff at University Hospital Waterford especially all the nurse’s in the Palliative Care Unit and Cork University Hospital for the exceptional care shown to John.

From start to finish, the help and support you all gave us was beyond limits. Our mother looked so peaceful and beautiful. Our minds were put to rest when we saw how lovely and peaceful she looked on her final journey. It is a credit to a wonderful team.
