Passed away peacefully at Clonskeagh Hospital, Pre-deceased by his loving wife Una, sadly missed by his brothers Frank Hayes, Fr. Patrick Hayes, and his sister Anne O’Connell, also by his wider family of brothers & sisters in law, nieces, nephews and family friends. Also sadly missed by all his former colleagues in An Garda Siochana, and his Rugby colleagues from Monkstown FC.

Michael will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) this Friday 1st December from 5.00pm-7.00pm.

Then reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford this Saturday morning 2nd December from 8.45am with removal at 9.15am to the Holy Cross Church, Tramore arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

From start to finish, the help and support you all gave us was beyond limits. Our mother looked so peaceful and beautiful. Our minds were put to rest when we saw how lovely and peaceful she looked on her final journey. It is a credit to a wonderful team.
