Thompsons were Founder Members of the Irish Association of Funeral Directors and John Thompson is a Past-President of the Association.
Thompsons are Members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, one of the World's largest Associations of professional Funeral Directors.
Three of Thompson's personnel are fully qualified members of the British Institute of Embalmers.
Thompsons are the only Funeral Directors in Ireland, and one of only a few in the World, to achieve the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard.

Kenneth Prendergast, 35 Closegate, Castle Street, Waterford, who died on Saturday, 16th September, 2017. Reposing at his residence on Monday from 4pm until 9pm.
